About Us: From Pastor Griffith

Dear Friends,

As Senior Pastor of Carriage Lane it is a pleasure to welcome you to this website and to our church. God is doing some incredible things in our lives as He transforms us by His grace. I have been at Carriage Lane since 1990 and I have watched Him continue to grow this body into a caring family committed to know Christ and make Him known.

I want to invite you to attend our Sunday morning worship services as we study the life of King David from the books of I & II Samuel in the Old Testament. God said of King David that he was a man after His own heart. Those who know about the reality of David's life realize this to be an incredible statement. Although David was greatly loved, humble, faithful, prayerful, a gifted poet and musician, and a courageous warrior-king; he was also a man who often stumbled and committed grievous sins against God's laws. It is astonishing that God, out of His providence and unfathomable grace, made David and his kingly office a prototype of Christ's perfect kingly office.

Why is studying the life of David so important for Christians today? It is through him that we can grow to understand the perfect Son of David, Jesus Christ our Savior. We can also grow to see our need to depend on the power of His gospel. So, please come and grow with us in the knowledge of Christ and His grace!

I have chosen an excellent companion book that will help you get the most out of this sermon series; its called, David - Man of Prayer, Man of War by Walter J. Chantry. You can purchase this book at a substantial discount in our own bookstore, Books On The Lane, located next to the coffee table in the foyer of the fellowship hall.

I hope you will join our community of believers every Sunday for worship as we experience the presence of our God in our midst and hear Him speak to us through His Word, The Bible.

My wife, Cindy, and I, along with our staff, are eager to meet you and answer any questions you might have. Please let us know how we can minister to you.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Griffith
